控制器单元有三种不同功能的产品以满足众多领域的应用。 “Basic” 专为简单、低成本解决方案准备，例如：只需要单种监控功能时。”Premium” 则可监控大量的物体，凭借可选择的 PROFIBUS 网络系统，允许通过CNC系统软件来实现功能的、无限的刀具监控管理。”I/O” 扩展模块则提供了更进一步的功能选项，可使用特定附带功能。

设备带有数字输入输出（I/O）连接运行-通过PC设置参数

在一台PC电脑上对工具/待检测的物体设置参数，并且将设置的结果通过USB接口输入至设备的控制单元，进而在应用过程中实现数字化(通过PLC)控制。当设备连接到输入输出（I/O）扩展模块，本产品通过选择输入最多可以对512个待测目标/工具的参数进行设置，并依据这些参数对这些目标/工具进行检测。根据客户对控制单元的要求，我们提供全功能（包括附加功能）配置和受限功能（基本功能）配置。

对于一些简单的任务，即使在没有PC的情况下，操作人员依旧可以通过输入输出（I/O）扩展模块使用本设备实现一些最重要的功能（右旋探测针或者左旋探测针，测量待测物体或者测量未被占用的空间，确定取样频率）。
